CHAKRI DAY
Chakri Day is a a national holiday in Thailand to commemorate the enthronement of King Rama I. Chakri Day is on April 6th each year when the faithful people of Thailand express their appreciation, love and reverence to the mighty kings of Thailand.
On this day people are led in ceremonies by King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who is the ninth king of the dynasty. The King, accompanied by members of the royal family, hold religious ceremonies at the royal chapel. He pays respect to all the other kings at the Royal Pantheon.
From there, the King lays a wreath at the statue of King Rama I which is located at the memorial bridge. The King wreathing ceremony is big, all government officials including the prime minister take part in this ceremony
